About Caz Devall Yoga
Hello, I’m Caz, a free spirit, Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master Teacher, and Sound Practitioner. These are just a few of the hats I wear, but yoga has become the true essence of who I am.
When I arrive on the mat whether to practice or to teach, I notice an immediate stillness, a quietness that seems to envelop me. The mat feels like an invitation to turn inward, to find peace. Yet, it’s not the mat itself that defines yoga; it’s simply a symbol, a container for the deeper practice of awareness and connection.
For me, yoga, meditation, sound, and vibrational healing modalities such as reiki offer a safe space to simply be a space that gives permission to let go. Whether in my personal practice or when guiding others, I find that same sense of peace and presence. I’m not a guru, but a lifelong student continually exploring and deepening my understanding of yogic philosophy. I aim to weave Patanjali’s Sutras and the Eight Limbs of Yoga through both my lived experience and my teachings.
My journey began after navigating some challenging mental health experiences, which first led me to meditation and later to reiki, yoga, and sound healing. My early experiences with yoga were difficult I pushed myself into textbook shapes, judging my body for not being as flexible as it once was. Yet, the profound peace I felt at the end of each class inspired me to take a leap of faith and train as a teacher.
Through this training, I discovered that yoga is not about forcing the body it’s about coming home to yourself. I am forever grateful to my teacher, Vicky Adamson of Shiva Yoga, who introduced me to the Scaravelli-Inspired approach: a gentle yet powerful practice that honours each person’s unique body.
My offerings are gentle and heart-led. The yoga I teach is rooted in functional movement and body intelligence, adapted so that every participant can begin to unwind the tensions of daily life. Yoga has become my sanctuary a gift of self-healing and I feel deeply blessed to share it with others.
